Soul Water Sauna publishes at Granton two wood-fired saunas of solid Siberian cedar with windows onto the Firth of Forth: Big Bear, more humid, seating 16 in community sessions (18 for private hire), and Little Bear, drier and hotter, seating 6 (8 for private hire); in community sessions guests move freely between the two, and the booking system sells up to 18 seats per session. The site has open-air showers, cold plunge pools (four steps up, needing good mobility), a sheltered changing area with cubicles and the sea a stone's throw away, next to The Pitt market (accessible toilet and baby change at the market; blue badge parking on request). There are quiet sessions (Silent Sauna and Sunday Slow Down) and guided events such as aufguss and sound rituals, priced separately. In the sauna something must be worn below the waist, and clothing above the waist is optional; shoes stay outside. Children aged 13 and over may join community sessions when accompanied (one adult to two children); ages 6 to 12 only in private sessions. Cancellation or rescheduling up to 48 hours before. Inside there are benches on two levels and a guard around the wood-fired stove, with no timer or thermometer, and the temperature is not published.
Booked community session sold per seat, 60 or 90 minutes, moving freely between the two saunas.
