How it works
The operator, BC Parks, publishes the Alpha pool open to the public, with water at 42-52°C, a shallow end for children and benches in the pool. Pool hours are 7am-10:30pm daily, with no admission after 10pm; the park is open year-round. There is a change house and a composting toilet, and the boardwalk to the pools crosses a warm-water swamp and boreal forest where visitors must stay on the boards. From May 1 to Thanksgiving a day-use fee is paid at the staffed gatehouse, which also serves as a visitor centre. There are no lifeguards. About eight natural pools make up the hot springs complex.
