How it works
West Coast Wellness, a yoga centre on a family farm on the shores of Loch Fyne, publishes a hand-built lochside sauna with windows onto the water and room for up to 16 people; its booking system lists the drop-in Lochside Sauna Session with 12 places at GBP 17. For cooling off there is the sea and a river-fed freshwater plunge pool. Booking is required, and cancellations need 12 hours notice for a refund. There are no toilets or changing rooms at the sauna; guests bring a swimsuit, water bottle, towel and shoes for going into the sea (a few spare water shoes can be borrowed), and a woolly hat is recommended in winter. The sauna is for over-16s only and is not advised during pregnancy. The farm is at Evanachan Farm, Otter Ferry; the sauna is at a slightly different spot from the yoga dome, and exact directions come in the confirmation email. Session length and temperature are not published.
Booked drop-in session per person, following the weekly schedule, with up to 12 places per session.
