How it works
Watershed Sauna publishes a mobile sauna built into a vintage horsebox, with alder benches and cladding, an IKI wood-fired stove from Finland and granite stones from the River Findhorn; it is based in Findhorn, operating from the East Beach car park (Dunes Road), and occasionally goes on the road to other spots on the Moray Firth coast, the River Findhorn or nearby lochs. The sauna seats 6; the communal session sells individual seats for 60 minutes. There is no changing room, storage, shower or toilet (public toilets are at the West Beach car park); guests arrive in swimwear, showered, with two towels, at least 1 litre of water, sandals and a warm coat. Nudity only in private bookings, and under-16s are not admitted. It runs part-time, generally Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday, with slots released about 6 weeks ahead. The temperature is not published.
Booked communal session sold per seat, 60 minutes, with up to 6 people.
