How it works
The operator publishes a wood-fired sauna built in a horsebox, created in 2016 as a Compass Live Art commission and now fixed in the yard of Nomad Maison on Stanley Street, off the Wicker. The sauna holds at most 6 people at once and runs between 80 and 110 °C; the cold plunge ranges from 4 °C in winter to 14 °C in summer. There is a cold shower (no warm shower), lockers, a gender-neutral communal changing cabin, a gender-neutral toilet, and communal birch branches and sauna hats. Each session includes a short aufguss with eucalyptus or birch. The sauna is low-lit, for over-16s, alcohol-free, with no phones inside and swimwear for all genders. Booking all 6 places gives a group the session to themselves. The yard is level and wheelchair accessible, but the sauna is not. There is a bike rack for 5 bikes and no parking in the yard.
Fixed-time shared sessions, booked per place, with at most 6 people in the sauna.
