How it works
The operator publishes two wood-fired saunas built by Heartwood Saunas from thermally modified timber with panoramic sea-view windows: BIG for up to 8 people and SMALL for up to 6, each with a small changing space behind a frosted glass door. Cooling is in the sea (gradual sandy entry, with views to Old Harry Rocks), in the cold beach shower or with a cold bucket pour. A host welcomes guests before the session; electrolytes and sauna hats are on sale. No nudity is permitted. The site is off-grid with limited facilities. The website locates the saunas by Google Maps and what3words (///glass.video.solar), next to the volleyball nets, about 3 minutes from Sandbanks Car Park (Banks Road, BH13 8QJ); toilets near the main car park (BH13 7QQ). Communal session capacity is not published separately from the sauna capacities.
65-minute communal session booked online, shared with others in one of the beach saunas, with sea dips.
