How it works
Operator publishes three pirts: the glass one, with wide panes, a terrace and a pond with a pier for swimming; the smoke, or black, pirts under a fir tree and next to a spring; and the wool pirts, circular and spiral in plan, with an outdoor tub for cooling off. Every session is led by one or two pirts masters and lasts about four hours: warming with warm air and plant bundles, a body scrub, steam, a contrast procedure with herb water, a swim in the pond or a shower, swatting with besoms of different trees, rest on a hay bed and a honey massage, ending with herbal tea, homemade bread, fruit and honey. There are named rituals of four to five hours. Booking is online, with full payment due five days before. The glass rooms have a bathroom and heated floors, and there is no catering on the grounds.
