How it works
The ryokan lists day use from 10am to 3pm, with last entry at 2:30pm and earlier closing possible when busy. "Kyuan no Yu", with water rising through the bath floor, alternates between men and women by time (women 10am to noon and 9:30pm to 9am; men 1pm to 9pm), and "Senkyo no Yu" has men's and women's sides. Its own self-flowing spring is sodium-calcium sulphate, bicarbonate and chloride at 45.4°C per the operator, with forest spring water added to adjust the temperature. The private bath costs 4,000 yen for 50 minutes. The site posts seasonal bookings starting in April.
