How it works
Operator publishes the main location in downtown Grand Marais, with saunas, a lounge, a locker room and a bonfire area overlooking the East Bay and Artists Point, always by reservation. Swimsuits or athletic attire are required, and nudity is not permitted. Lake Superior is not accessed from the property: the operator points to the public access at the end of 2nd Street E. The minimum age at the downtown location is 10. The floating sauna is docked at Skyport Lodge on Devil Track Lake in summer and the first half of fall, in 50-minute sessions for up to six people, without sailing; the operator presents it as the first floating sauna opened to the public in the United States, launched in September 2023. Refunds up to 24 hours before, minus the card fee.
Session of 1h30 by appointment, in a shared or private sauna; a 60-minute community session and a seasonal 50-minute floating sauna.
