How it works
The operator publishes a floating wood-fired Nordic cedar sauna moored at Seattle Marina on Lake Union, in a houseboat community; social sessions stay dockside and check-in is at the Lake Union Hot Tub Boats office. Sessions last 90 minutes, from $49 per person, with a guide who leads the heat, cold and rest cycle. The sauna holds up to 10 people and in a social session other guests may book the same slot; private rental is for up to 12. Cold is a 5-liter bucket shower and an outdoor shower; a rooftop deck looks out on the city skyline. Towels, water, aromatherapy, changing rooms and dry storage are included; guests bring a swimsuit and flip-flops. Public restrooms are in the marina parking lot. It is open year-round, rain or shine; the site does not publish hours and says memberships will come in the future.
Booked 90-minute guided sessions shared with other guests, or private rental.
