How it works
The operator publishes two smoke saunas at the northern tip of Vasikkasaari, looking toward Suomenlinna, Market Square and Korkeasaari. Perinnesavu uses a pellet stove and a slate-lined heater in a dark, traditional room; Haapasavu has an aspen atmosphere and a heater holding about 3,000 kg of stone. Guests can swim in the sea from either sauna, and there is also a heated hot tub (palju). The RÖK summer kitchen serves food cooked over open fire, on charcoal and smoked, with wines imported from European producers and craft beers. On summer weekends the sauna-and-dinner package includes a boat from Market Square (Kauppatori) and back. The island also hosts private events, arranged by email or phone.
