How it works
The Fukushima City tourism and convention association lists Sabako-yu as open 6am to 9pm since February 1, 2025, closed on Mondays (open when it is a holiday). The water is flowing alkaline hypotonic spring water at 51.0°C at the source and pH 8.6 per the page. There is one indoor bath on the men's side and one on the women's side, with no showers and no shampoo; bathers scoop water from the bath with a bucket. There are free lockers and no rest room. The building was rebuilt in 1993 recreating a Meiji-era communal bath. The page carried temporary closure notices in 2025 and February 2026.
Paid walk-in entry by ticket machine, handed to the attendant.
