How it works

The association publishes seven locations in Oslo and, at Sukkerbiten, eight shared saunas (Skarven, Anda, Bispen, Havørnen, Måken, Albatrossen, Alken and Ærfuglen), plus Trosten. A shared entry is valid for 1h30, with booking open 21 days ahead and on-site purchase without a guaranteed place; guests bring two towels and swimwear, and there is a cold fresh-water shower. Trosten was built in 2023 and 2024 to a design by Estudio Herreros, the office behind the Munch Museum, and is clad in recycled aluminium: 22 people, a wardrobe, a fresh-water shower, a lower bench that slides in to make room for two wheelchairs, an automatic door and an outdoor amphitheatre open to anyone on the pier; it is rented for two hours with a sauna master at the door. The Sukkerbiten calendar includes sauna rituals and naked-sauna sessions. The capacity of each of the eight shared saunas is not on the pages consulted.

1h30 entry to a shared sauna, booked online or bought on site, and private saunas rented for two hours.
