How it works
Operator publishes five saunas for private rental, for 1 to 6 people, with numbers 4 and 5 taking up to 8, each with a deck or stoop for lounging; the heaters reach about 180 °F, and the operator asks guests not to add water to the rocks. The communal sauna takes up to 6 people and is quiet. There are changing stalls, two communal cold rinse showers, open cubbies for belongings and portable toilets, one of them accessible; sauna 4 is wheelchair-accessible. A small beach alongside, down a short stairway, serves as the cold plunge for most of the day, up to 20 feet out and with no lifeguard, and closes when the regional park district closes the neighbouring beach. Full nudity is permitted inside the saunas; in public areas guests are asked to cover their lower half. Adults 18 and over only, and no dogs. The site is at Terminal 4, an active industrial park, and a gate code and directions come with the confirmation; all visits are by reservation, open up to 21 days ahead. The operator offers monthly reduced-rate visits at 50% off and a ride-reimbursement programme.
Private sauna rented by the 1h30 session, or a seat in the quiet communal sauna; always by reservation.
